One of the most beautiful cities in Tunisia, located about 160 kilometers from Tunis, has an international airport. The town is dominated by the imposing building of the monastery Ribat of the Eighteenth century and a mosque dateing the Nineteenth Century. The city is especially known as the birthplace of the first president Habib Bourghuiba. A special attention desurves the Bourghuiba wonderful family mausoleum, built in traditional style with two minarets and a golden dome in the middle. The harbour with ships and yachts is called Cap Monastir, and on the beaches nearby, called Skanes, we find luxury hotels.
